Flutterby

Just an ordinary day, got up, made the bed and packed lunches. Drove to town, bought some books, ate chips from a cone, came home, unpacked the shopping, emptied the washing machine and caught a butterfly resting on the book receipt.

Marvelled how something so small and delicate would allow me to get so very close to it with my 'handbag' camera on a macro setting to photograph it. Wondered at the sheer beauty of it's wings, shimmering in the light, amazed by the tiny hairs over it's body.

Thank you butterfly for making my day anything but ordinary.
