the big game
I could have shared one of many shots with you today. This morning we were able to spend some time with my son (yay) before he had to go to work and we left to go to the football season's opening game.
I have shots of the band. I have shots of the crowd. I have the football teams warming up. I have some shots of plays during the game. I even have one of the life-flight helicpoter taking off from the hospital next to the stadium.
Which to choose?
We actually won tickets to this sold out game. Our seats were in the top (TOP!!) row of the stadium on the five yard line. Though these seemingly are not good seats, they worked out well for us. I liked the bird's eye view of the stadium and, in this case, the outside of the stadium.
These are steps going up the hill behind the stadium. I wish I would have thought to count the steps as we made our way up them after the game. Let's just say that nearly everyone going up stopped at some point to catch their breath before continuing the climb. In this shot you can see the school of law at the top of the hill and the edge of the press box to the left. The trailers near the school of law belong to a few of the die hard fans who camp out for the weekend.
So, as I titled this blip I was originally referring to football. But, I think there was competition in itself to conquer this hill. We were able to "bag" the "big game."
