Fix up, look sharp

How is it possible that every one of approximately a hundred pencils in the pencil box were blunt or broken?
I uncovered this fact when the boy couldn't find a usable pencil to do his homework tonight.

Not any more.

I sharpened them all while I waited for him to finish his language homework.
Then I thought the colours looked good, and a blip was born.
