Was Granny a Witch?

These Aquilegias (or Columbines) in my garden are sometimes called "Granny's Bonnet", however this one looks to me, much more like a Witches pointy hat.

The days you can get Aquilegias in a dazzling variety of colours, but I prefer the subtler pink, white and mauve-blue of the cottage garden. The Chelsea Flower Show is about to start, and these flowers a frequently widely used and displayed. Unfortunately this year I cannot afford to go, so will have to make do with watching it on TV.
