Power

For a ship of 60 meters long, we are ridiculous overpowered. If we are not towing of course. The same power we use for towing large displacement objects is now all for ourselves. Giving full ahead in steep seas, will result in violent pitching. That is why every now and then we reduce power to check everything on the fore ship. Especially the lashings of the anchors are well known to get slack by the weather, resulting in a loud 'steel to steel' slamming when the bow hits the waves. Not very pleasant for crewmembers having their cabin close to the fore ship. Apparently our A/B Henry didn't expect that we should slow down before checking the lashings, because he is dressed like a diver, where I took a picture of him in short trousers. On the picture you can also see what five days of weather beating does to our beautiful painted vessel.
