A flower

A bit of a rushed job today as I won't have much time in front of the PC.

I had also been thinking about another statue but I have had too many of them recently so needed a bit of variety. I ended up going no further than the back garden to get this flower.

The flower itself is more or less as shot, just a slight boost to the saturation. The background has had a bit of Gaussian blur added, and I've also used a 'firework' cut out edge which I think helps to bring out the central point of interest (the flower).

I'm fairly happy with this one but its still a long way behind the very good flower pictures I see daily on the site.
