Several months ago...

V: What's that mark on the ceiling?
D: Nothing, I'll paint over it soon.

A few weeks later...

V: Are you sure that mark isn't getting worse?
D: No, it'll be fine once I paint over it.

A few more weeks later...

V: That mark is definately worse and it's going all bubbly!
D: (Touches ceiling) It's fine - completely dry. I'll just paint over it.

About a week ago...

V: Is it still dry?
D: (Pulling away a piece of plasterboard) Hmmm...

This morning...

V: Hmmm...
