Day 4 - Chicago

Well it was going to be a boring picture of the (superb) 'Bean', but this chap caught my eye on State Street. You have to admire the originality, so he got some money first and then said he was happy to be photographed - "I'm famous on the internet!" he beamed. Good luck to him, having wished him all the best at the time. One of many homeless seen here unfortunately.

Another good day in stark contrast to his situation. Early 90 minute boat tour along the river and onto the lake taking in all the architectural highlights - I'm an expert now on which is tallest, smallest, oldest, newest and so on. Caught the sun ever so slightly - I now have a pink nose.

After a post-boat trip breakfast we headed for Millennium Park to see the aforementioned 'Bean' sculpture, and the other interesting ones in that area. Then down to the Museum of Contemporary Photography, across to the Willis (ex-Sears) tower where we went to the top, and then lunch in Macys and a quick mooch around.

Walked miles. Feet killing. Cheesecake Factory (USA trip tradition) for dinner. Last full day tomorrow.

Chicago is great - the perfect American city?
