Through a lens (very) darkly!

If ever there was a need for another piece of equipment! Seeing the ospreys nesting on Loch Insch near Aviemore all I could do was point the camera down the eyepiece of our friend's telescope. Though this is fuzzy, the actual image on the telescope of the male osprey guarding the nest where the young were being hatched was crystal clear. Minutes later he was off looking for a fish supper for his lady friend.

Next time - a telephoto lens, a tripod and maybe even an SLR!

But for now I'm only recording the sighting.
