stairwell

A quick blip today this time of the wrought iron bannister in my stairwell.

They have stood there for approximately 100 years and seen so many people from the flats come and go; been touched by so many hands and survived 2 world wars. Ah the stories they could tell...

...such as my aunt, who by coincidence lived in the same close over 20 years ago was serenaded by her now husband on his bagpipes!
