A bit of a kerfuffle
Back to the RSPB reserve today. I didn't plan to, but I got completely lost looking for my intended photography spot so decided to cut my losses and go there.
I asked my boyfriend to help me choose which photo to post, and he was brutally honest as always. The shots he thought were technically good, I thought were a bit boring. The shots I thought were interesting, like one of a lapwing with her chick, he just saw as a pretty sub-standard photo of a bird and a chick. He's right of course, as I said last time my lens just can't cut it in this environment, it's nowhere near long enough. Though they were pretty close to me, closer than I'd ever expect to see them, I just couldn't get close enough. A longer lens is definitely on the shopping list, but funds are low!
So it's another bird in flight shot. The lapwing (middle) obviously annoyed these two black-headed gulls because they brutally chased him out of the reserve! I think they were just jealous of his lovely big wings :)
