Eastern-bloc supermarket.
In the last years of the Cold War, I always imagined the stores in those "Eastern-bloc countries" to be filled with empty shelves, unattractive TL-lights and only the more expensive products like Coca Cola available.
The supermarket we always go for our daily shoppings, was the last few months becoming such a cold-war-east-european shop, with every week less racks and more empty shelves and less products to choose from.
Also it became more apparent that the shelves and freezers were quite worn-out and damaged.
Therefore we called it the "Oostblok-Edah".
