East meets West

Got up at lunchtime and went to run some errands with my lensbaby. Liked the contrast between the bright paper lantern and the dull office buildings behind.

This evening went to a friend's leaving dinner. I've known her since law school and she's been such a great friend in HK so really, really sad that she's going. She's leaving her job as a lawyer and going to train as a yoga teacher - pretty brave (and I'm actually very jealous!). Dinner was lovely - our friend cooked for a big group of us on his roof. He made the most amazing banana cupcakes and I am ashamed to say I had two (and a peanut brownie!). Drank lots of champagne and had lots of god chats. Another late one, finally in bed at 4am...
