Building Site

This is a small development along a small private lane. After a planning battle the first trees were felled almost exactly 3 years ago and I made a point of taking pictures along the lane before work started and at intervals since to record progress. After the initial clearing and fencing the site was left unworked for months on end. This is the first of two houses and as can be seen they've only just got round to doing the foundations. One good thing is that the lane used to be a dirt track with lots of puddles and bumps but one of the first things they did was run services in a trench and then put a decent macadam surface on. Just before the recent "credit crunch" which may or may not have something to do with the delays.
