Fly on the Wall
I'd just like to apologise to any of the neighbours around this afternoon that may have wondered what the hell was going on over the garden fence.
Samantha eventually got around to putting together her Mother's Day present - an apparently simple garden arch that both she and Heather set about constructing. This involved around a dozen metal tubes to slot together and half a dozen screws to hold everything in place and should have taken around ten minutes to complete. Heather walked off after about an hour and, despite the pair of them being determined to do this on their own, I was called in for some extra assistance to put the finishing touches to it.
So, for any other flies on the wall that wondered what all the giggling and screaming was about, it was this and nothing else. The shouts of "Stick it in", "Hold this while I give it a screw", "You've put it in the wrong hole", "Wiggle it until it slips in", etc. hopefully weren't construed as something else, especially as during all this I was snapping away with my camera from a safe distance.
Anyway, it's all done now. Fully erect and ready to go.
