Fishing disaster
I find this statue at Cove very touching. It commemorates the night on 14th October 1881 when 189 fishermen lost their lives on this stretch of coast. Cove lost 11 of 21 fishermen which must have been devastating for such a small community.
We went for a wander down to the tiny harbour after I'd decanted last nights sleep over child back to their home and then drove along to Dunbar to pick up Ruby who had been on a sleepover of her own.
As usual, the post sleepover grumpiness has kicked in due to sleep deprivation, no idea why it's called a "sleep"over as that seems to be the very lowest thing on the agenda. So, the three of them are now slumped in front of a DVD and I'm about to rouse them so they can make Toad in the Hole for their Mum when she comes home from a hard day at work.
