Mrs Evil Goat

Bye to the Grammar School

Had a fantastic weekend in a lovely setting.

We were on the road at 8.29am with a bag of bacon and sausage butties for the trip back. James planned the journey to military precision and said we'd be back by 10.37am when we were about 40 miles away. As we turned into the village the clock was on 10.37am but we got stuck behind a pesky tesco delivery van and just as he pulled up in front of our house, the clock changed to 10.38am! V funny.

I was looking forward to a lovely sunny afternoon with the horses, however I got a bit of bad news about Lime when I got back. He has Sarcoids on his chest, which are like little tumours and can be very hard (and VERY expensive) to treat. Will know more about what is going to happen over the next few weeks and his owner is coming over tonight. She seems keen to leave them and see what happens as they can go away on their own in some cases, however all the vetinery advice is not to ignore them and get them treated as soon as possible. I guess it is her decision though, but going to be hard if I don't agree with it. Best of it is I've just bought a very expensive saddle for him. Dangerous being so attached to something that can be taken away from you. Knew it was too good to be true...
