knobbly cactus (Euphorbia canariensis)

I wish I could get a better photo of this cactus, it is huge, but unfortuantely it is in the garden of one of the germans, behind a 3 metre wall, he likes his privacy.

Good session at the gym this morning, despite a lot of alchohol last night. Our favourite fish restaurant is open again for the season and we had a plate of huge mussels, steamed, then a fish paella a jug of Torre Sangrai, plus coffee and brandy for Roy and whisky for me courtesy of the owner. Only had the one whisky as I knew it was an early session at the gym, an hours yoga, 30 minutes cross trainer, weights and abs, felt very virtuous.

We have had a minor disaster today, we have a water machine, unlimited hot and cold water at the press of a switch. Well, today it sprung a leak, called out the engineer who found the fault, repaired it then he found another fault, which cannot be repaired until at least Monday. So I am having to use the kettle to boil water for tea and coffe, but more to the point I am having to BUY water for drinking. Our water is okay for drinking but we have got so used to filtered water.
