Meet Sophie, Derek and Rita's 3-year-old grandchild.

Sophie was the perfect antidote after the tragic events of the past week. She was a bit shy to begin with, but came out of her shell later with a vengeance. Her vivacious personality was just what I needed as reaffirming proof that life goes on.

Thanks, Sophie, and a big thanks too to Derek and Rita for another lovely evening in great company. Sorry my afternoon nap went on longer than intended and caused my late arrival.
