Canal Side

A pleasing afternoon - sat on a bench along the canal eating yummy ice creams. We watched a couple of boats make their way down the canal, go through the locks and saw a pair of swans with their six yearlings.

We followed this with a brief visit to a pub for a quick coke and packet of crisps - including pickled eggs (urgh!!!). I remember as a child going to the pub with my mum and grandparents - only I had to stay in the car and be brought out a bottle of coke with a straw and a packet of crisps. How times have changed!!
