Contemplating a Swim

I hiked in Shell Ridge today and checked out the blue oaks and valley oaks to see if I could see any sign of developing galls (can't wait), but there were none. The hills are beginning to turn brown and I recorded that, but it didn't make for a very interesting blip. I hope the mallards are better. The Homeowners Association won't be happy that they're using the pool, but it doesn't bother me since I don't swim in it--it's too small for actually swimming and when the weather is warm enough, it's full of kids playing "Marco Polo."
