Thistle Down

By Ethel

Bright Mind

To have a bright mind,
Is as the sound of a harp.
If it tingles so softly,
And is regal and sharp.

Carrying brain messages,
Right to the dot.
It guides body actions,
And is hinged upon thought.

With a network of nerves,
That propel the whole frame.
It helps you act quickly,
And assigns you a name.

There are coils there a plenty,
With a double-tracked line.
And in case of a traffic jam,
They rush to combine.

Fortunate is the person,
With thoughts not behind.
And sound transportation,
Rush up to the mind.
