Some general grumbly stuff!

Blipped while we were stranded on the Cromarty Bridge yesterday. There was a horrible accident on the A9 near Evanton (no fatalities thank God) and none of the traffic was able to go that way so we were all being rerouted through Dingwall then up onto the Old Evanton Road. Cue all the cars then on the Dingwall road waiting for hours as the Police had mistakenly redirected a rather large truck this way which then got stuck in the teeny little railway bridge..... Yeah, that was a fun wait!

Dad kept saying there must be a truck in that bridge because theres no other reason for us all not to have moved for this length of time (I'm paraphrasing here, he had a few choice words about country coppers thrown in. I would like to state for the record these are not my views and are simply the grumblings of a man who revels in grumbling. He has expanded it into an art form.) We were arguing that no one would be that stupid.
Never assume that no one could be that stupid. I think it was almost worth the wait to my dad to be proved completely spot on!

It wouldn't have been so bad but we were supposed to be heading home for a bit of dinner before going back out to the Ballet. So we got close to home, but not quite close enough before having to turn around and head back to Inverness hungry and unwashed!

The ballet was brilliant though. Krzysztof Pastor's Romeo and Juliet to the Prokofiev score. So beautiful.....
And The Apprentice bit was fab! ;o)
