Lunch time meeting

This chap was sitting on her nest built at the end of a tree that had fallen into the lake. Being in full view of the lake side path she was very alert to all activity, including me, on the bank. Her partner was floating about on the lake,
I think it is a Grebe, possibly Crested, but I am sure the experts will be able to confirm.
Went to lunch tense and tired, came back bouncing and talking about the bird I saw whilst out.

A bit of name dropping. Am doing tonights blip while listening to a recording of a Weird Al Yankovic concert from 1984 on Wolfgangs Vault Web site. Brilliant send ups of very well known songs. Well worth it if you can spare an hour or so.
