Happy birthday Stephen

It's my brother's birthday today, so I dedicate this entry to him.

As you can see, the sitting room is pretty well useable now; plenty of space to sit and largely clear and tidy. I need more storage and I really need new furniture to be honest, I feel a trip to IKEA coming on personally.

One solemn note. After around three weeks of being very ill in hospital my grandmother, Dora Parker, passed away in the early hours of this morning aged 78.
She was born in London to Highland parents and as a result always considered herself to be Scottish. She sang with the London Emmanuel Choir in her teens at twenties and for most of her life loved to sing and play the piano for her children and grandchildren.
We'll all miss her very much.
