Alstroemeria

Yesterday I was in doubt whether I should blip the sunset or a flower macro. I went for the sunset... Today it has been raining pretty much all day: no chance of a sunset today!

Why not give that flower macro another go? So here it is: a macro of an Alstroemeria. Thanks clickychick for telling me what flower this is; I am a total idiot when it comes to plants and flowers...

I tried focussing on the stamens and I'm rather pleased with the results from the Panasonic compact camera. I also tried my Canon EOS 500D but I guess it needs a macro lens to be able to get the same (or better) result.
