The Birthday Boys

Today is the birthday of sons #1 & #2. They were born exactly 10 years to the day and the hour apart, a fact which might indicate precision timing, but is in fact pure coincidence.
Beyond their common birthday, the fact that they are the only 2 boys in the family and they are both left handed, the similarity ends.

Unfortunately I won't be able to share with them any of the birthday cake I made in their honour yesterday as neither lives near me. However while his Lordship and I partake of it with perhaps a glass of wine, a virtual slice will be sent over the internet to each of them.

After a flying visit to Ikea, that purveyor of the flat pack nightmare, for some storage boxes and a strawberry tart, it was off to the Mosque for lunch with fellow blippers. There were only eight of us there, so it was quite an intimate affair. SooB's young Connor came, saw, and wasn't much impressed with the company.

I was allowed to finger SooB's new Macro lens and was of course smitten with what was possible , while Winpig and Stewart Bremner tried to teach me a thing or two about layers in Photoshop. My head was swimming with information. There is only so much a lady of certain years can absorb at one sitting.
So much to learn and so little time to do it.
