They think it's all over...
but it's only just beginning.
Yesterday's image should have been today's, and today's yesterday's. Three have finally become two.
What must Nick Clegg and colleagues, and their families, make of the fact that on Thursday they lost seats and had far fewer even than Labour, but today they have cabinet posts and their leader is the Deputy Prime Minister?
The most annoying and deceitful falsehood peddled as truth in recent days has been the Conservatives saying that a new Labour leader could become yet another unelected Prime Minister. Since when did we elect Prime Minsters? We don't, we elect MPs. Parties choose their own leaders. This is a democracy with a constitutional monarch, not a country with an elected president. Hurmph.
Sleep well all you weary MPs, Civil Servants and reporters.
