"Hartsop above How 3" from Wainwright's Book One: The Eastern Fells. We almost moved to a lovely house in Hartsop when I was 7 years old. It flooded the day before we were due to complete the paperwork. I remember my mum and dad being very relieved, and secretly thinking how exciting it was that the whole ground floor was full of spooky black water.
