Eco Warriers
Up early feeling great, took Juno up the hill for her walk, too early for the usual walkers but did catch up with others.
Our work team was away for some community involvement. I had organised a Carrifran trip to plant some native trees.
Om the way the dreaded phone went and our team leader had to sort out some work things. We arrived and were met with a flutter of snowflakes, just a shower.
We did some impact planting, that is wild cherry that will have a canopy of bright blossom and will be clearer visible if they survive(90% survival rate).
We all had lunch and we set about doing surveying and checking on damage to trees up the hill.
We continued up the valley and sat in the warm sun. They are 12,000 short of planting half a million native trees. Some parts the trees are about 8 foot high and it looks like and feels like a real woodland.
Back home and sorting out stuff for eco son as he heads to WW1 trenches with his school history class. We have found out where his mum's great granddad is remembered as they never found the body, they are going to try and visit it.
