Jesmond Dene.

My Husband and I had a walk in Jesmond Dene this morning.
This is a huge green area in Newcastle Upon Tyne ,with water falls, country walks, picnic areas, pets corner and even a pet's graveyard set in a beautiful secluded corner.
In 1883, for health reasons, the medical council of Newcastle arranged to 'set apart for the public use for ever,' land which was then known as Jesmond Dene. This has been used for recreation since then.
This waterfall is within a mile of the River Tyne.
