The Day of Halves....

...written work was started but not completed
...e-mail replies were composed, but not sent
...the plan was drafted but not issued
...I could go on, but you get the picture...

Zipped up to the southern reaches of this fair city to join in the merriment of the opening night of the Goaty and V-Kneck Jumper to find that the Health and Safety Authority had seen fit not to issue an opening certificate because a metal grill was not in place in the basement......thank heavens we were protected from this grievous risk to our well being. So, the pub remains closed for the next day or so.
We retreated instead to the cultural heart of the city and consoled ourselves with a half of Orkney Best in the Beard and Cardigan.

That's Monday over at least.
