This is by far the hardest time I've had choosing an image to post here. The whole idea of this was to keep me shooting, so it doesn't really matter which I post as long as I pick one (editing!) and process it for final display.

But today is the last day of Monochrome August, and I had two very B&W pictures, neither great but both so on-theme that it was hard to pick one to close out the month.

I did, though, and here it is. I choose what I thought was the "more challenging" of the two, but it's more satisfying to me as well. This is the other.

The other has very strong lines and might well have been a popular choice here. I'll admit that the idea of it being popular swayed me away from it; if there's anything I don't want to do with this blog, it's to become a praise-beggar.

My training continues - on to September! I'm going to theme it as well, and I'll give you a hint: it may be themed after a Burt Bacharach song.
