Sea Pinks
West Cork (and probably the rest of Northern Europe) has been swept by Northerly winds, obviously the Northwesterlies brought the ash, but now the winds have shifted to the Northeast which means it is still unseasonably cool. Normally, we would be basking in the first throws of summer, the flipflops would be brought out and we would be making BBQ plans - but whereas it has been gloriously sunny and incredably dry, it is COLD.
I am finding it quite challenging to get acclimatized to the water after my six week break, the water feels really really cold. It cannot be any colder than this day or this one or even this cold day.
These Sea Pinks are growing by our favourite spot.
