People who inspire me

Today has been a feel-good triathlon day.

This week, I've just been getting back into it all again after a ridiculously long time with the cold / chest infection, so this morning it was just another little outing, this time on the bike. It was great to get outside and to get pedalling, although the hills are a bit harder than they used to be! I saw lots of other folk on their bikes, a few triathletes too, and pretty much most of them said hi back, except for one triathlete who was too cool for school. There was nobody else around for miles, just me coming towards him on the other side of this long straight road, but he blanked me. I just don't get that!

After a bit of time with HB, I got half an hour or so to read my latest tri mag. Yes, it was a geek day! This pic is of a lady who is pretty awsome and who inspires me - Chrissie Wellington. She has won every one of her 8 ironman triathlons, and is three-time world ironman female champ, this year beating a 17 year record with her time 8 hours 54 mins. She is one tough lady, and she does it all with a huge grin on her face.
