Ink at The Top
One of the houghlights of any trip to London for me is a visit to Cornelissen & Son on Great Russell Street. It is a lovely creaky floored shop full of specialist art supplies. I am happy in there for at least 40 minutes. You can also pick up a few tips if you are near the counter too.
I asked for some Japanese stick ink. The assistant got out a ladder and found some straight away high up, in drawer No 1 I think it was.
It all happened so quickly that I did not have time to take a photo of her rootling for it. But I rather like the blur of her returning down the steps, as a hand is offered just in case.
