Who would've thought painting a whole bunch of creepy lawn ornaments would be this supported? ....and fun?

Our band director, being the crazily-imaginitive man he is, had responded to our main marching band fundraiser not being held this year by creating his own, inspired by some other high school's "flamingo flock" distributions, and putting a twist onto it -- instead of flamingoes, why not our own army of marching band gnomes?

He asked whoever was willing to stay about an hour after school today to gather in the band room to give the gnomes (donated by dedicated bandos, one of them being yours truly) a make-over -- AKA paint their clothes to match our marching uniforms. Amazingly, we had quite a crowd; the room was so full that I struggled to get around, and I'm not even that tall/big!

We only gave them the base layer today -- details to be painted soon, I believe.


.....So, what do people find so creepy about gnomes?
