Why is it when you have something that has to be done the house suddenly HAS to be cleaned instead?

Umu's luggage is still filling my spare room and I need to sort through it and get it packed and sent off to Sierra Leone, but instead I've cleaned the house from top to bottom. There was the threat of visitors and it did need doing and I have also stocked up on groceries and been to the gym. And when I ran out of excuses I picked up my guitar and longed to be able to play, but since I can't started to photograph it instead!
