Be Part of The Story
The RAF had a Harrier jet wedged into St John's Place in Perth today - I didn't join the queue to have a sit inside it. I never thought about it at the time but I'm now wondering how did they get the plane there? The Harrier is a VSTOL (Vertical/Short Take Off and Landing) aircraft so I suppose technically it could have flown and landed in Perth city centre (!) but I'm guessing it's more likely that it was transported by lorry with the wings off or something like that.
