Es Firo festivities...

The Es Firo festival is well under way and the town is mayhem and according to friends this is just the beginning...Monday is the BIG day when all lets loose. I could have sat on the square for hours this morning people watching. Saturday morning, which is market day is my favourited day of the week here...but market day at festival time is just mad! There's dancing, bagpipes, food, drink, canons being fired, fire crackers being let off....you name it, we have it! Monday, according to the locals, when the battle between the Moors and Christians commences, is not for the faint hearted!
