The end of war?

The ceremony at the village war memorial to mark the end of the Second World War. Umbrellas and flags were both needed. What is less often mentioned is that this is also the anniversary of the day in 1945 when French forces killed Algerian pro-independence demonstrators. There's more than one version of history.
