River Business
The Indus River is the most important water supplier for the agriculture and food production in Pakistan. The river flows from north to south entire length of the country travelling nearly 3200 kilometers.
Indus flows to the western side of Layyah and is 12 kilometers from the city center. Majority of agriculture in Layyah depends on the waters of Indus. Fishing is another activity. In the morning one can see many boats catching fishes in the smaller branches of the river.
These two young children in the picture help their 9 years old brother in gathering fishes. They were hanging on the edge of boat in the middle of river. I was shocked to hear that they didn't know swimming.
