Final Visit to Leonardslee Gardens

Leonardslee gardens are well known for the fantastic colours of their Rhododendrons. Camelias and Azaleas which are best seen during the first week of May.

This shot was taken in the Rock garden which was a blaze of colour. Unfortunately as this was the only sunny day this week, everyone else turned up there today too and it was quite busy.

This will be the last opportunity to see this wonderful garden as the Loader family which has owned the gardens for more than a century has just sold them to an East European businessman for a reported £5 Million and he does not intend to open the gardens to the public. So, they will close to the public on 30 June 2010. If you want to see them then you'd better hurry.
