Hmmm...
As someone who doesn't support any party, I've been genuinely surprised this election at how much the various party supporters hate each other.
The three mainstream parties each have their own strengths and weaknesses, but overall they are fairly similar and it won't have a huge impact on day-to-day life whoever wins. In spite of that, they all seem to feel that it would be a terrible thing if any party other than their own wins.
I've noticed that Labour supporters in particular seem to be driven by deep, bitter hatred of the Tories. When I'm reading Twitter, the reason Labour supporters give for voting for them is never anything positive, it is invariably hatred of the Conservatives. I really don't understand these sorts of feelings between parties, where people are more like football fans supporting their team against the local rivals than being interested in the future of the country.
