Wood
Tucked away in an elbow of wall in the garden there's a tiny sycamore wood. The wall is only about eight feet high here and the sycamores have learned not to venture too far above it. The wind - winds, a whole menu of weather - blows hard across the island most days of the year. The sycamores have learned that sending out side shoots is the thing. This is the champion of them, the tallest tree in the forest, extending along the ground some 60 feet or more.
