Wet afternoon in Berlin
Enjoyed my afternoon in the New National Gallery in Berlin - as well as the exhibits (1900 - 1945, quite poignant because so many were sold off as Degenerate Art by the Nazis) this is a great building by Mies van der Rohe. The top floor is a vast space with views all the way round over the city. I'm sure that when it's sunny there are people sitting on the steps and in the sculpture courtyard but today it was fairly quiet and this custodian seemed to be on a long march round and round the perimeter to pass the time.
