Apologies...

.. if this puts anyone off their mid-morning snack. Flies really are disgusting aren't they? With some insects, and even with spiders, you look through a macro lens and think "wow, how detailed" or "look at those pretty colours", but not with flies. They look even worse close up. I see redeeming features in most creatures, even things like pigeons and rats have their charms. I suppose their big silly compound eyes are okay looking, but that's as far as my generosity will stretch :)


edit: just realised that 4 of my blips in the past week have had flies in them! Not quite sure how that happened. Sorry about that, I'll lay off them from now on!



PS: voted first thing this morning, my first time in a General Election I think; as far as I remember I was drifting between constituencies in 2005. It felt good to do my bit, I suppose we just have to keep our fingers crossed now and hope for the best!
