There's one in every village
Our village church, built of lovely mellow local stone. All Saints church in Neen Sollars is a cruciform church which dates back to the 13th century. However, it is believed that an earlier Saxon church (AD 597-1066) once stood on the site.
There is a lovely atmosphere inside. I'm not a very regular visitor but do enjoy the occasional family service when the children in the village are encouraged to do things, Christmas, weddings and christenings especially. I don't mind doing my annual cleaning and flower stint and in December I am always asked to do my huge decorated holly ball which is hung in the centre of the church, just above where the Vicar stands.
