Sshhhh!

This sign near the White Swan in Twickenham always makes me smile.

It seems quite quaint to me and I'm intrigued to know what qualifies as a 'street cry'.

Is it simply being rowdy in the street or is it some kind of chant or rugby song? Perhaps it's when you have to turn up the volume so you can be heard above the planes going over.

Whatever they are, it seems we're requested not to do them outside the White Swan.
