Dicksonia squarrosa ...
or commonly referred to as New Zealand tree ferns. Some of the micro climates of West Cork are very similar to New Zealand and gardeners today and of more than a 100 years ago have imported plants from the Antipodes to grace their estates.
Doreen gardens in Country Kerry has a wonderful variety of trees and shrubs, and in particular these NZ tree ferns which I estimate must number at least a 1000, with many well over 4 meters in height.
